Young children learn through play and by actively using their senses to explore and discover. Natural learners, they are curious about the world around them. Activities that incorporate large and fine motor skills are part of our students daily experience. We encourage children to vocalize their feelings and use words to express themselves whenever possible, and promote play and respect of one another. Our classrooms are welcoming and bright. Decorations are focused around our students creations. Each room features developmentally appropriate activity centers such as a writing center, block center, dress-up area, reading nook, art space, science and exploration area, our playground is enticing, featuring a combination of equipment like swings and climbers, a digging and building area, and a shed that holds items used by teachers to vary the outdoor experience.
Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education through close contact with the school and dialogue with their child's teacher. Parents, teachers and the administrators all work together for the common goal of excellence in education.
